My Expertise

 

I am a fitness and anatomy geek. I have always been passionate about exercise, nutrition and living well, which is what inspired me to pursue a career in the health and fitness industry.  I am an experienced Oakville Chiropractor, Oakville Acupuncturist and Fitness Professional with over 18 years practice experience as a Greater Toronto chiropractor, over 17 years as a Toronto and Oakville acupuncture practitioner and 25 years as a fitness coach, Toronto personal trainer, and strength and conditioning specialist.  As a coach, former multi-sport athlete and bodybuilding-fitness competitor myself, I understand the cyclical challenges and triumphs of training, proper nutrition, competition, injury prevention, treatment and rehabilitation.

I am also a business owner and busy mom of 2 who understands how demanding (yet rewarding!) it is to balance being a full time parent while also being a full time career person, and having very little time to sneak in self care.  I know what it’s like to be injured and to be told I need to stop and rest - my goal is to keep you moving - but in a safe, efficient, and pain free way.  Movement is medicine - let your body move!

I am DIFFERENT.  I don’t want to see you. My goal is to help you feel better, move better, and stay at your optimal health and performance - not just in the clinic, but all the time! I fix you up, get you out of the clinic and back to doing the things you love doing. No gimmicks.

 My Story

 
 

Years ago, I founded my first business in Toronto, where I was the sole owner and clinic director of a busy multidisciplinary health clinic. Through dedication and hard work, I successfully built and expanded my Toronto chiropractic practice into a thriving multidisciplinary sports medicine clinic and fitness studio. I am proud to have fostered a vibrant and positive community centered around fitness, health, and wellness.

After 10 years in practice, I sold my clinic and fitness studio and embarked on a period of self-reflection through travel, nature, mindfulness, and fitness. Upon my return, I started another business venture doing independent contracting in private practice. Stepping away from the pace of corporate care has allowed me to do less but do it well, and to focus on what I love most: dedicating more time to high-quality, hands-on patient care, pursuing academic advancement, fitness training, and spending time with family and loved ones.  I am absolutely thrilled and could not be happier with this chapter in my career.

Injury prevention, maintaining good health, building resilience to stress and illness, optimizing sports performance, healing and recovery, are fundamental aspects of my practice.   • I deliver evidence-based, sports medicine–focused care grounded in a comprehensive, holistic assessment of the body. With advanced training in Rehabilitation Sciences, I specialize in diagnosing and treating neuromusculoskeletal conditions across all ages and activity levels.

    My approach goes beyond symptom management—identifying the root cause of dysfunction and restoring optimal movement through targeted treatment and individualized rehab. Each plan is built to reduce pain, improve performance, and create lasting strength.

    Complementing my biomedical background, I incorporate select principles from acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine to enhance clinical insight and support whole-body function. By integrating precise diagnosis with a multi-dimensional treatment approach, I help you move better, perform stronger, and stay injury-free.

  • I take a functional, movement-based approach to care—assessing how your body moves, not just where it hurts. By integrating advanced neuromusculoskeletal assessment, functional movement screening, and orthopaedic testing, I identify the root cause of dysfunction and build targeted treatment strategies that restore optimal movement.

    With a background in sports chiropractic, acupuncture, and strength and conditioning, I apply a seamless, evidence-based approach that combines manual therapy, acupuncture, and individualized rehab. The focus is simple: reduce pain, improve movement quality, and develop strength, stability, and resilience.

    Education is a core part of the process. Through guided rehab, mobility and strengthening programs, and practical advice on training, recovery, and ergonomics, you’ll gain the tools to move better, perform at a higher level, and stay injury-free.

    If an adjustment is indicated, I offer both manual and gentle techniques, always prioritizing safety and your comfort. If it’s not the right fit for you, effective alternatives are always available.

    When additional support is needed, I provide straightforward guidance and can help to coordinate referrals or imaging to ensure you receive the right care at the right time.

  • I have a sports injury-focussed practice with extensive experience treating athletes from youth competitors to professionals in the AHL, OHL, NHL, PWHL, CFL, MLB, MLS, and at NCAA - D1, Provincial, National, Olympic, and Paralympic levels.

    I am also known for my work with competitive weight lifters, runners, swimmers, triathletes, gymnasts, and dancers.

    I specialize in injury rehabilitation and exercise therapy to optimize performance, prevent re-injury, improve strength, mobility, posture, and overall fitness. In addition to my sports medicine focus, I am also certified in fertility acupuncture, pregnancy acupuncture, and support prenatal and postpartum mothers.
